Heat pump installation

Heat pumps

Air-to-water, air-to-air and ground-source heat pumps, sized for your building and installed by a certified team. Up to 70 % less energy for heating, with the Klimabonus subsidy deducted from your quote.

What we install

A heat pump sized for your home, not a catalogue number

A heat pump only saves what its sizing allows. We start with a heat-loss calculation for your building, check whether your existing radiators or underfloor circuits can run at low temperature, and only then recommend a type and output.

We install air-to-water, air-to-air and ground-source systems from Daikin, LG and Viessmann, commission them properly and set the heating curve on site. As a certified installer we also prepare your Klimabonus file.

Air-to-water: the usual choice in a renovation, replacing an oil or gas boiler on the existing circuit

Air-to-air: reversible units that heat in winter and cool in summer

Ground-source: highest efficiency where a borehole or ground loop is possible

Low-temperature emitters: underfloor circuits and oversized radiators for the best efficiency

Sizing and heat-loss calculation: output matched to your building, not guessed

Servicing and refrigerant checks: annual maintenance to keep the efficiency you paid for

How an installation works

From the first visit to the commissioned system:

  1. 1Site visit, heat-loss calculation and check of your existing emitters.
  2. 2Recommendation of the right type and output, with expected running costs.
  3. 3Clear quote with the Klimabonus subsidy already deducted.
  4. 4Installation, removal of the old boiler and electrical connection.
  5. 5Commissioning, heating curve set on site, and maintenance advice.

Frequently asked questions about heat pumps

Does a heat pump work with my existing radiators?

Often yes, but it depends on the temperature they need. We measure the heat loss of your building first; where radiators are undersized we either replace a few of them or propose underfloor circuits.

Does it still work in winter?

Yes. Luxembourg's design temperature is well within the operating range of modern air-to-water units, which keep working below freezing. Correct sizing matters more than the outside temperature.

How much does it cost after the subsidy?

It depends on the type, the output and whether an old boiler has to be removed. We quote with the Klimabonus already deducted, so you see the amount you actually pay.

How noisy is the outdoor unit?

Modern units are quiet, but placement matters. We position the unit away from bedrooms and neighbouring boundaries, and respect the required distances.
